Colorado College seeks a tenure-track assistant professor for the Department of Molecular Biology to start in the fall of 2023. Commitment to providing a diverse and inclusive undergraduate education and mentoring undergraduates in research is required. Primary teaching responsibilities will include MB131 Introduction to Molecular and Cellular Biology, MB201 Introductory Lab in Molecular Cellular Biology and Genetics, and one or more elective courses that complement and add variety to the current course offerings. We are interested in broadening the research interests of the Department of Molecular Biology, which currently include developmental genetics, neurobiology, molecular microbiology, immunology, and evolutionary genetics. Applicants should clearly address how their research interests diversify rather than duplicate existing research expertise in the Department of Molecular Biology. Applicants are encouraged to learn more about the research interest of the Department of Molecular Biology by visiting our faculty profiles https://www.coloradocollege.edu/academics/dept/molecularbiology/people/index.html. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduates in research.

The College is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the college community and has made a commitment to be an antiracist institution. Applicants should specify how they will contribute to these College commitments.

Applications materials must be received by September 16, 2022.
