The successful applicant will join a dynamic faculty with broad interests in the biochemical sciences, including but not limited to nucleic acids, systems and synthetic biology, and chemical biology. The Department has built an exceptional scientific environment including cryo-EM, NMR, mass spectrometry, crystallography, biophysical instrumentation, microscopy, and animal care that is enhanced by state-of-the-art facilities on campus for high-throughput sequencing, computation, and others.

The Department of Biochemistry at UW–Madison is committed to maintaining and growing a culture that embraces diversity, inclusion, and equity in cutting-edge research, education, and service to society. These values are foundational elements of our excellence and fundamental components of a positive and enriching environment for all students, faculty, and staff. All faculty are expected to establish and sustain an independent, extramurally funded research program, advance an active publication portfolio, and contribute to an exceptional training environment for pre- and post-doctoral trainees.
