City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking an experienced Plastic Surgeon who is highly qualified and board certified in Plastic Surgery to meet the growing needs of our expanding program in Duarte, CA. Microsurgical fellowship training or extensive experience as a primary surgeon in microsurgical procedures is required.

Position Highlights:

Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with a world class, nationally recognized team of surgical, medical, radiation other cancer specialists. Full-time Plastic Surgeon position reporting to the Chief of Plastic Surgery, within our Department of Surgery.
  • This is a full-time position in an established and rapidly expanding team of 6 plastic surgeons, NP, PA and microsurgery fellow
  • Commensurate with the background and qualifications of the candidate, research/educational/ administrative time will be defined and supported. Active mentorship to develop academic interests will be provided by the Division Chief.
  • The clinical practice includes care of complex reconstructive problems (breast reconstruction, lymphatic reconstruction, sarcoma, chest wall and extremity reconstruction, skin cancer etc.). Predominance will be to provide reconstructive needs of breast and skin cancer patients.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience should include a commitment to provide state-of-the-art patient focused clinical care, specialized training & excellence in microsurgical procedures, dedication to resident education (teaching awards, etc.), accomplishment in research, and comprehensive knowledge base pertinent to the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  • Based on qualifications, the selected candidate will be appointed as Associate Professor, or Professor rank at City of Hope National Medical Center.
  • The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license.
  • Board certified in Plastic Surgery.
  • Microsurgical fellowship training and extensive experience as a primary surgeon in microsurgical procedures is required.
