ROLE SUMMARY
This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccine Research and Development - Analytical laboratory group. The individual will perform routine sample testing and assay qualification studies in support of characterization of early vaccine or adjuvant candidates, including proteins, conjugates, mRNAs or other products . Assays include standard analytical separations and spectroscopic techniques.

ROLE SUMMARY

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- In this position the individual will perform routine sample testing (HPLC, CE, DLS, UV, etc.) in support vaccine candidates and adjuvants. This includes preparing samples, setting up and running the instruments, and analyzing data.
- Document experiments, analyze data, and provide conclusions obtained from sample testing contemporaneously in notebook as directed.
- With guidance, the individual will assist with or execute assay qualification studies.
- Assist with training and transfer of methods.
- Plan daily workflow to complete the tasks/experiments outlined by the supervisor.
- Where applicable, perform job responsibilities in compliance with GLP requirements.
- The individual is expected to contribute and participate in general laboratory maintenance activities (such as maintenance of equipment, managing laboratory waste).
Qualifications
Must-Have
- BS or equivalent degree, in a relevant field of science (chemistry, biology, immunology, microbiology, etc), and 0-2 years of experience.
- Has a good foundation in general scientific practice and the principles and concepts of a relevant scientific field of study.
- Experience with separation-based analytical techniques (HPLC or CE) is desired.
- Experience with characterization of mRNA or adjuvant products is a plus.
- Proficiency in the use of word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software is desirable
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, quick learner.
