As a Senior Scientist, you will design and perform experiments that develop, qualify, and implement various analytical methods and state-of-the art analytical technologies that focus on product quality and/or process-specific analytes and support various aspects of biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing. You will be involved in all aspects of the biopharmaceutical development, including engagement with project teams and other stakeholders for various projects in different stages of development.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Develop and perform assays that support the development, release and stability testing of Biopharmaceutical drug substance and drug product.
  • Review of experiments, stability protocols, and other key documents
  • With supervision, executes method verification experiments appropriate to clinical development phases.
  • Work closely with outsourcing partners to deliver results.
  • Oversee and independently performs a variety of complex sample and standard tasks (receipt, check-in, login, labeling, launching, inventory, transport, check- out, return, disposals, etc.) in support of the laboratory between departments and with outsourcing partners.
  • Lead activities related to equipment qualification.
  • Contribute and support departmental cross-training activities on analytical techniques used for analysis of biopharm molecules.
  • Perform routine data management tasks including recording results effectively in a laboratory notebook or computer independently (e.g., tabulating and graphing results).
  • Identify and troubleshoots any problems in the execution of experimental processes; interprets results and communicates them to his/her supervisor.
  • Follow safety requirements for his/her laboratory/working environment


Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BS in Chemistry, or related scientific field with 5+ years' of biopharmaceutical development experience, OR MS in Chemistry, or related scientific field with 3+ years' biopharmaceutical development experience.
  • Experience in analytical separations methods such as HPLC, uHPLC, cIEF, or CGE.
  • Experience with assay development/qualification/validation, pharmacopeia compliance, and analytical life cycle management.


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Understanding of the biopharmaceutical product lifecycle.
  • Experience with analytical support of challenging biopharmaceutical formulations
  • Knowledge of protein analytical & biochemical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, capillary electrophoresis, LC-MS or 2D-HPLC.
  • Technical expertise and working familiarity with several analytical techniques, and laboratory procedures.
  • Knowledge of how to analyze and interpret experimental data.
  • Familiarity of FDA/EU/UK and ICH regulations and guidance related to analytical transfer and validation and release and stability testing.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others in and across groups.
