A couple of research scientist positions are available at the C.S. Mott Center, Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.


The lab:  We are seeking to hire highly motivated scientists who are interested in pulmonary physiology, cardiovascular biology and /or neuroscience. The lab has a strong commitment to identify the etiology of developmental disorders, with the goal of translating these findings clinically, and reaching the children affected by these disorders. Employing a whole animal physiologic and cellular/molecular state of the art approaches, the lab envisions assessing the effects of pharmacological and/or nutraceutical agents on prevention and treatment of pulmonary/cardiovascular/neurobiological developmental disorders. To explore the lab, visit


The Center: The lab is located at the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development, an internationally known research center established to promote research training relating to women's and children's health with focus on reproductive biology, immunology, oncology, toxicology and prenatal medicine.  Our scientists are shaping the understanding of how human being's health is molded even before the fetus begins to grow.  We integrate basic, translational and clinical research with the purpose of improving women's health. The training: New postdoctoral scientists will have diverse opportunities to enhance their research portfolios and develop skillset in formulating clear hypotheses and developing multiple independent strategies to test the hypotheses. Scientists will receive mentorship on career development and scientific communication including public presentations and publications.
