Human Psychopharmacology Laboratory (PI: Vijay Ramchandani, PhD)

We are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research in the Human Psychopharmacology Laboratory in the intramural program of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), one of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The laboratory is located within the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center on the main NIH intramural campus in Bethesda, MD.
The research conducted by the lab is focused on: (1) evaluating genetic and environmental factors influencing the clinical pharmacology of alcohol and the neurobiology of addiction, and (2) developing and applying human laboratory paradigms to screen novel potential medications for the treatment of alcohol use disorder.
Candidates with a Ph.D., M.D., or Pharm.D./Ph.D. in clinical pharmacology, psychology, neuroscience, neuroimaging, genetics, or related field, are encouraged to apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience in data science or advanced statistical analyses preferred. Candidates should have less than 5 years of post-doctoral training. Salary will be set commensurate with experience and accomplishments as well as NIH guidelines.
