Mass General Cancer Center and

Harvard Medical School

The Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies are seeking an outstanding computational biologist to join the faculty at the level of Instructor or Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School.

We invite applications from early-career candidates interested in developing an independent research program focused on computational approaches to clinical and translational cancer research. The successful candidate will lead the analysis of genomic, epigenetic, and proteomic data from clinical samples, including on-treatment biopsies, and multi-organ site metastases from rapid autopsy sample collections, with the goal of understanding heterogeneity in acquired drug resistance. Expertise in working with clinical specimens and data quality; mutational signatures and sophisticated genomic analytic programs; and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches to multiple sources of patient-derived data, such as imaging, molecular, electronic medical records and clinical laboratory tests, are all central to this position.

Candidates should have a PhD or MD, and advanced training in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, together with a proven track record in biomedical research and collaborative translational research.

Applications from women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged.

Complete applications including letters of reference must be received by

October 4, 2022

Candidates should submit a curriculum vitae including a list of publications and a brief statement of research interest. Three letters of recommendation will also be requested via the search portal.
