Center for Radiological Research in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking two applicants for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor. Candidates should have backgrounds in radiation biology, such as aerosol science, fluid mechanics, optical systems, spectrometry, radiation dosimetry, film dosimetry, computer modeling and simulation, microbiology, cell, and tissue biology, data analysis, and experimental design.

Applicants with expertise in the measurement and characterization of ultraviolet radiation, including spectrometry and dosimetry, are particularly interested. The selected applicant is expected to lead research to explore physical and biological considerations related to ultraviolet radiation. The position will also be expected to participate in the broader mission and research goals of the Center for Radiological Research. The faculty will be expected to compete for research funding from federal, foundation, or industry sources.
