The Biomedical Science Program at the Florida Institute of Technology is conducting a broad search for two 9-month, open rank, tenure-track faculty positions with an anticipated start date of Fall 2023.

Areas of interest include genomics, cell biology, biotechnology, molecular pharmacology, and immunology. These individuals will support our current degree programs: B.S. in Biomedical Science, B.S. in Genomics and Molecular Genetics, M.S. in Biotechnology, and PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology. Successful candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses; conduct and maintain an active, extramurally funded research program; publish scholarly work; mentor undergraduate and graduate students; and engage in service activities. Candidates must have a doctoral degree, postdoctoral research experience, and a strong record of research accomplishments. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Applicants working with non-vertebrate models are especially encouraged to apply.

To apply, please email biosearch@fit.edu a single pdf document containing the following items in the order listed: cover letter, curriculum vitae, contact information for three professional references, a statement of research plans (4 pg. limit), and a statement of teaching interests and philosophy (2 pg. limit). Consideration of applications will begin on November 1, 2022 and continue until the position is filled. Questions should be addressed to Dr. Andrew Palmer (apalmer@fit.edu).
