A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Einar M. Sigurdsson at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in the heart of Manhattan. A candidate with a strong background in two-photon imaging, preferably in mouse models, is sought to participate in NIH funded studies on pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and related tauopathies and synucleinopathies. The work also involves developing therapies and diagnostic-imaging probes for these diseases. Ideally, the applicant should be familiar with using MATLAB, Phyton or R/R Studio for data analysis. Experience in neurodegeneration research with a focus on the tau protein, alpha-synuclein or other protein aggregates, biology of antibodies, and/or calcium imaging would be beneficial but is not required. Creativity, fluent English, and excellent writing skills are desirable. To apply and for further information, please contact Einar M. Sigurdsson at Einar.Sigurdsson@nyulangone.org
