Assistant Professor
The Department of Biology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2023 in the area of Physiology, broadly defined, with expertise at the organismal level. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of developing and teaching a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including interdisciplinary programs and other college-wide initiatives such as the 360 Program and the Emily Balch Seminars. Specific teaching responsibilities include courses in animal or human physiology and in the candidate’s area of expertise, as well as participation in the team-taught introductory biology sequence. Candidates who have the potential to contribute to the major in Neuroscience are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain an externally funded research program that involves undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds. A Ph.D. and at least one year of post-doctoral research experience are required by the start date.
