Tenure-Track Assistant and Associate Professor Faculty Position: Hematopoiesis and Blood Cancer

The Wisconsin Blood Cancer Research Institute (WBCRI), in collaboration with UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC), an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, and several departments at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (School of Medicine and Public Health), is recruiting tenure-track faculty at Assistant or Associate Professor levels. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop an independent research program on basic and translational science relevant to blood cancer. Faculty will join an appropriate department in the School of Medicine and Public Health and be members of WBCRI and UWCCC, which provide extensive collaborative opportunities. UWCCC provides outstanding core facilities, including Flow Cytometry, Genome Editing/Animal Models, Informatics, Metabolomics/Proteomics, Pathology and Small Animal Imaging, Small Molecule Screening among others, and UW-Madison provides a wide range of additional cores, including Optical Imaging, Mass Spectrometry and Translational Sciences BioCore. The scholarly environment is highly collegial, and laboratories reside in modern facilities with programs on stem and progenitor cell biology, microenvironment, cell therapeutics and mechanisms underlying myeloid leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Faculty participate in multiple training programs for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Successful candidates are expected to build vigorous, extramurally-funded programs in one or more of the following areas: normal and malignant hematopoiesis, epigenetics and genome science, hematology-immunology interface, innovation of single-cell and multi-omic technologies. We offer competitive start-up packages, including substantial salary support, and a dedication to facilitate career development. UW-Madison is committed to diversity, and we strongly encourage applications from candidates who foster and promote the values of diversity and inclusion. UW-Madison is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. Interested applicants should send a cover letter documenting qualifications, curriculum vitae, 2-3 page research plan describing past research accomplishments and future plan, teaching/mentoring philosophy statement (1 page), 2 research papers and references for recommendation letters in a single pdf to Jill Heil (Jill.Heil@wisc.edu).
