Harvard Medical School Department of Genetics
The Department of Molecular Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School (HMS) invite applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate will be fully employed by the Department of Molecular Biology at MGH (https://molbio.massgeneral.org/). The candidate’s laboratory would be integrated into the Department of Molecular Biology, within the rich research community of MGH’s Simches Research Center. The candidate will also be appointed as a full faculty member and active participant in the HMS Department of Genetics (http://genetics.med.harvard.edu).
The successful candidate will conduct exceptional and innovative research within the broadly construed disciplines of molecular biology, genetics, stem cell biology, chemical biology, bioinformatics, or other fields that would synergize with the current faculty’s research.
Candidates will be expected to participate in the teaching activities of the Departments of Molecular Biology and Genetics, which includes teaching and mentoring graduate students, research fellows, and may include HMS clinical trainees. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, have completed post-doctoral training, and have a strong record of research accomplishments.
