The NYU School of Medicine’s NIEHS-funded T32 Training Program in Environmental Health has 2 postdoctoral openings. Postdoctoral trainees will enter one of three academic research areas: 1) Molecular Toxicology and Carcinogenesis; 2) Inhalation Toxicology; or 3) Air pollution. Specific areas of research include epigenetics and systems biology, transcription, cell cycle, cell signaling, air pollution epidemiology, and exposure assessment. The ability to examine adverse effects of chemical exposure in animal models, humans, and cell lines provides trainees with the opportunity to develop an integrated mechanistic and translational evaluation of pollutant action. Interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged for postdoctoral research projects, so that trainees can gain maximum experience in several aspects of toxicology.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. or M.D degree with strong background in the desired area of research. The position is available from July 31, 2022, and successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary starting at the NIH-recommended level and is commensurate with number of years of experience.
Please note that the Traineeships are open to US CITIZENS OR PERMAMENT RESIDENTS ONLY. To apply, submit a full CV and a brief research interest statement (1 page) to Suresh.Cuddapah@nyulangone.org or Terry.Gordon@nyulangone.org.
