The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be assessing how pre disease microbiota promote or induce inflammation when transfer into gnotobiotic colitis mouse models. In addition, the pre disease microbiota will be characterized for its functional properties in vivo including mucolytic, proteolytic, glycosidasic, bile acid degradation capacity. The candidate will also test for the immunoreactivity of pre disease microbiota. We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with a track record of creativity in developing experimental strategies and a knowledge base in the following: mucosal immunology; T cell biology; animal models; and/or microbiology.
