NCU Welcomes Applications for Principal/Independent Investigator Positions in Biomedical Sciences

To maintain cutting edge biomedical research and to build up research-based education, the University is now opening full-time positions for principal/independent investigators at multiple levels, and cordially invites qualified applicants from all over the world.

Specific areas, requirements and qualifications:

I.Research Areas of Interest

Cell Biology, Neurobiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Developmental Biology, Bioinformatics, Pathophysiology, Epidemiology and Public Health, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biopharmaceuticals, Clinical Medical Sciences (with an emphasis in Cancer Biology, Cardiovascular diseases, Digestive diseases, and Nervous system diseases, etc.

II.Levels of Recruitment

Senior/Leading Investigators 

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

1. Well-recognized academic leadership and outstanding achievements in his/her field;

2. Experience in leading high impact research projects;

3. Ability to foresee trends in medical science development, making strategic decisions to orient and lead research     .

Outstanding Independent Investigators     

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

1. Excellent leadership and representative achievements in his/her areas of research.

2. Knowledge and experience in designing projects with great potential and significance to explore the frontiers of specific fields.

Excellent Independent Investigator 

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

1. Systematic training in research, with at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience and      important achievements in his/her field.

2. Strong potential to independently carry out impacted research projects, and produce      innovative and creative insights on specific topics.

III.Salary and Benefits

1. Salary: generously competitive salary. Negotiable, starting from 1,200,000 RMB based on qualifications for Category (I), from 600,000 RMB for Category (II), and from 300,000 RMB for Category (III);

2. Relocation fees, house-buying subsidy and access to excellent affiliated schools for children;

4. Perspective for future research objectives and career development plan.

5. Recommendation letters including contact information from three established scientists who know the applicant very well.
