Tenure Track Faculty Position

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine (Temple University, Philadelphia) seeks outstanding basic and translational neuroscientists for a tenure track faculty position.

The appointment will be at a rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants should have an MD and/or PhD degree and are expected to have, or establish, creative, independent research program. A track record of extramural funding (NIH, NSF or industry) is required.  Areas of special interest are: neurovascular biology, tissue engineering for functional models of neurovascular unit, and drug delivery into the central nervous system (CNS). The research environment is interdisciplinary and highly collaborative. Generous startup funds and outstanding new open lab space (including a new BSL-3 facility) are available. New faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate with a very active group of NIH-funded neuroscientists within the Department focusing on blood brain barrier regulation, HIV CNS infection, traumatic brain injury, neuro-lupus, effects of diabetes and effects of alcohol/drug abuse on the neurovascular unit. This position will complement and synergize with ongoing basic, translational and clinical research programs in the Department and across Temple’s Medical campus.
