Cancer Biology Recruitment – In Residence Faculty Position

 

The Department of Urology and the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of California, San Francisco are recruiting outstanding candidates for a faculty position. This position will be in the In Residence series at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level depending on qualifications and experience of the final candidate. Qualified candidates must possess an MD and/or PhD degree. The ideal candidate is expected to have an established vigorous research program and significant scientific achievements, as well as the ability to obtain independent research funding. As this position will be partially supported by a new UCSF initiative centered on prostate cancer research, the candidate’s research plans (current or future) must include a focus on the biology of prostate cancer. Qualified candidates are expected to have contributed to teaching and training. Applicant’s materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission. All qualifications must be met by time of appointment.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join the outstanding, highly collaborative and diverse interdisciplinary scientific community of the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the entire UCSF institution. The Helen Diller building is located at the Mission Bay campus, housing some of the world’s leaders in life sciences and clinical research, and neighbors the new UCSF Medical Center. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to bridge basic scientific research with clinical translational science and patient care.
