Research Assistant I

Summary

The Research Assistant will have the expertise in cell, molecular and animal experimentation and support multiple investigators with their respective lab research. As part of a vibrant research team, the research assistant will have the opportunity to learn and train in advanced cellular and molecular laboratory techniques.

Job Duties

• Collaborates with other research assistants to support multiple investigators with their respective laboratory research.
• Conducts research experiments with expertise in molecular and cellular biology.
• Maintenance of mice colony, breeding, genotyping and tissue harvesting.
• Collects, compiles and analyzes data.
• Documents and interprets results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
• Selects and determines appropriate research procedures and help troubleshoot experiments.
• Oversees the maintenance of lab equipment and environment.
• Assists with training research students in the lab.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
• Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
