As part of a vibrant research team, the research assistant will have the opportunity to learn and train in advanced cellular and molecular laboratory techniques.
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other research assistants to support multiple investigators with their respective laboratory research.
- Conducts research experiments with expertise in molecular and cellular biology.
- Maintenance of mice colony, breeding, genotyping and tissue harvesting.
- Collects, compiles and analyzes data.
- Documents and interprets results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
- Selects and determines appropriate research procedures and help troubleshoot experiments.
- Oversees the maintenance of lab equipment and environment.
- Assists with training research students in the lab.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
