The Warehouse Lead Technician will support the daily activities being conducted in the GMP Warehouse and Pharmacy in accordance with current good manufacturing practices (GMP) and company standard operating procedures.

This position will assist the Warehouse Staff in maintaining inventory record accuracy and ensure that material is received in the inventory management system, stored appropriately, identified properly and physically segregated according to material status.

The Warehouse Lead Technician will assist and/or lead dispensing activities for requested materials from the warehouse in a timely manner in accordance with current procedures. Perform other job responsibilities and serves as back-up to Warehouse and Pharmacy Staff in support of Quality objectives to ensure material, components and products are free from contamination and defect.

  • Receive GMP materials and components in compliance with GMP and all other SOPs and BOPs.
  • Upon receipt of incoming raw material and components, verifies adequate expiry period by reviewing the Certificate of Analysis/Conformance.
  • Ensure that Material Identification label(s) is attached to received material so that the entire shipment is reasonably identified.
  • Accurately enter all pertinent information in the inventory management system (Comet) and laboratory information system (LIMS) database where applicable.
  • Dispense material for Master Packaging and Labeling Records and satisfies material requests for prototype development work.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control while performing appropriate transactions in the electronic inventory management system when transferring and issuing material.
  • Dispose of expired or obsolete raw material, intermediate, finished material, processing aid and components in accordance with current procedures.
  • Update the Lot Deletion Form and the inventory management system accordingly based on cyclic and annual physical inventory of the warehouse.
  • Prepare, receive, and quarantine material and components for inspection by QA&C.
  • Assemble expiring and obsolete materials from warehouse stock location for disposition.
  • Transfer and maintain accurate material storage location using the electronic inventory management system.
  • Conduct weekly Safety walk through and sweep down of the GMP warehouse to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Cross-train and serve as backup for individual collecting Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste.
  • Cross-trained to perform responsibilities associated with the Pharmacy and serves as back-up to Pharmacy personnel.
  • Maintain proficiency in completing GMP logbooks and electronic laboratory notebook.
  • Maintain accurate account of intermediate, finished material and components files and records.
  • Retain/archive/destroy material files and records in accordance with current document retention procedures.
  • Remain current on all assigned training and forklift certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years experience in GMP in warehouse environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, once or twice a month (infrequently)
  • 50% - 50% sit / stand


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Associate degree
  • Experience in GMP environment
  • Good business acumen
  • Detail oriented
  • English fluency, good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Takes initiative, leadership capability
