YOUR ROLE
  • Self-starter with strong initiative.
  • Apply innovative routes in new product development.
  • Execute as-directed and support on-time commercialization of new adhesive formulations and products.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports to support research projects for internal teams and management.
  • Support interaction with external customers and respond to customer requests in a timely fashion.
  • Effectively work in cross functional teams with members from product development, project management, application engineering, process engineering, marketing, and sales.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Apply best practices to product development.
  • Support new intellectual properties.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Recognize sources of problems; absorb new information easily; expose gaps in logic and contradictions; develop effective solutions to technical roadblocks.
  • Perform all laboratory work in a safe manner and comply with all regulations, safety precautions, PPE requirements, and 5S processes.

YOUR SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Sciences, Materials Science, or in any other related scientific areas
  • Knowledge in handling wet/powder chemicals, capable of operating lab instruments and pilot mixing equipment. Experience in working in adhesives, coatings, and sealants lab is a plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Professional laboratory safety skills are essential.
  • The ability to work autonomously on multiple projects and multi-task is needed.
  • Must sit and stand alternately up to as much as 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to occasionally / regularly lift 10 to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly work in a chemical laboratory environment.
  • May require passing additional security screening based on customer requirements.
The salary for this role is $61,000.00 - $75,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Connecticut. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
