The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) requests applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Academic Instructor or Assistant Professor. The position will be located in Amarillo, Texas and begins in August 2022.
The successful candidate will teach pharmaceutical science courses (e.g., pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, compounding, etc.), supervise pharmacy compounding laboratory, aid problem-based learning, engage in scholarly activities and provide service to TTUHSC. This position will include scholarship in teaching and learning and academic service responsibilities in addition to instructional assignments. Other duties and responsibilities will be as agreed upon with the department chair. The position will require collaboration with other TTUHSC faculty at university campuses in Abilene, Lubbock and Dallas, in order to facilitate local and distance-instruction courses. Preference will be given to candidates having a pharmacy background, with a Pharm.D. or Ph.D. in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry or a related discipline. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
