What You Will Achieve

As a software engineer at Pfizer , your job is to define and drive simple, efficient software and systems design, taking hard problems, and finding efficient solutions that enable efficiency gains for scientists . You will also provide suggestions to establish best practices that provide guidance for other teams .

We're looking for someone who is passionate about technology, stays on top of the latest trends within the field, and loves to engage with the developer community. This is an amazing opportunity for a new SWE to explore the complete Tech Stack and find where they best fit in the development scheme.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Leveraging JavaScript (Node.js), Python, C++, C# and other modern programming frameworks, languages, and tools to build scalable, secure software.
  • Work closely with a talented team of engineers, product managers to build microservices-based applications and integrated sensor measurements.
  • Utilize React to build exceptional user experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Work on a wide range of interesting technical and business projects
  • Investigating, prototyping, and implementing new solutions to a wide array of complex system design challenges.
  • Write automated tests for each service.
  • Develop and maintain software using already established best practices for creating readable and maintainable code


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in a CS , CE, EE with 6 or more years of experience OR a MBA/MS degree with 4+ years of experience
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure,cloud application development ( e.g. PaaS, Serverless, API Management),container orchestration ( e.g. Kubernetes),andmicroservice frameworks.
  • Experience withsoftware architecture and practices (design/development/deployment, Agile,SCRUM ).
  • Interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrable evidence of collaboration on large projects, such as open source contributions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.


Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in a {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP} laboratory
  • Understanding of various scientific software or software used in pharmaceutical or production environment
  • Familiarity with embedded controllers ( e.g. Arduino) a plus.
