YOUR ROLE
- Performs comprehensive raw material evaluations to establish suitability in product formulation or equivalency in the case of raw material substitutions
- Conducts product characterization and performance studies to identify improvement opportunities in terms of performance or cost and address customer-specific product performance requirements
- Does technical studies related to product formulation, manufacturing process, product specifications, application, and performance
- Develops new and improved products to meet defined customer/market needs and achieve business targets
- Conducts customer visits in AP for product analysis and formula design. Support customer complaints resolution
- Coordinates with affected units regarding issues in manufacturing processes and formulas of Henkel packaging coating products; Ensure adherence to company ADP protocol
- Develops technical proposals for new PD projects; Stays current with technological advancements in assigned area and utilizes knowledge and experience to drive product innovation
YOUR SKILLS
- Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry; Master's of Science Degree in Chemistry is an advantage
- Must be a Licensed Chemist (with valid/active PRC license)
- With a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Product Development and Formulation, Product Application, Laboratory Work (Chemical and Analytical Analysis); Background in Adhesives (Coatings, Lacquer, and Sealants) is an advantage
- People management background is highly preferred
- With extensive knowledge in Product Development (Chemical Reaction, Material Balance); Must have an understanding of Manufacturing processes and operations, culture based safety, and food regulations
- Intermediate knowledge in MS Office (for presentation, reporting and data analysis) is required; SAP knowledge is highly preferred
- Must have excellent command of both spoken and written English; With creativity and innovation, critical thinking, project management and time management skills
