Position Summary

The PACS Administrator as a member of the Radiology Informatics team, is responsible for the support and upkeep of the PACS and image sharing applications such as Life Image and Powershare in collaboration with IT teams and resources.

Essential Functions:

Monitors performance of the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), initiating corrective action in collaboration with IT resources.

• Supports PACS performance, user training, system troubleshooting, onsite and offsite assistance.
• Assists IT Resources with PACS upgrades
• Backup system support for ConnectHope and Voice Recognition applications.
• Troubleshoot clinical issues related to ConnectHope and Powerscribe1 and many other imaging applications.
• Supports radiologist, referring MDs and clinicians
• Develop training manuals, provide new employee training and on-going training to physicians, clinicians, RNs, techs, etc.
• Issue Management
• Track and manage all system issues within the division, and maintains hardware inventory.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

• Required minimum bachelor's degree in related healthcare discipline or information systems or equivalent experience
• 2 years PACS support experience

Required Certification/Licensure:

• Certified Imaging Informatics Professional - CIIP - Certification within 12 months of hire

Software:

• Powershare, Life Image

Machines/Equipment:

• Sectra PACS, Nuance Powerscribe, Multiple Workstations
