YOUR ROLE

Henkel's Bowling Green manufacturing facility is the largest for the company. We are looking for top talent to lead this facility to best in class performance levels and culture. We are currently building a 3-5 yr journey to automate, build capability and deliver strong results. If you have a passion for process engineering in a manufacturing setting and love working in a fast-paced, result-oriented environment, come join our winning team! The Senior Process Engineer role will be an individual contributor role, who will partner with key stakeholders within the plant and in corporate. This role reports to Director of Engineering for the plant.
  • Proactively evaluate and propose ideas to improve existing manufacturing processes and to bring new production capability in the plan
  • Be a subject matter expert in the areas of liquid raw material handling, blending, flow, bottle filling, spraying, and coating applications, with deep understanding of engineering first principles in these areas
  • Be part of large (up to $50 million) and small (less than $1 million) capital projects in the plant and play an active role in ideation, project design, construction, and start-up
  • Partner with cell leaders and engineering project managers to develop (a) continuous improvement projects and (b) 3-year capital masterplan
  • Build capability and partner with external firms with expertise in detailed design of process systems

YOUR SKILLS
  • More than 10 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing setting in consumer goods, food, chemical or pharmaceutical industries
  • Have been part of large (>$10 million) capital projects
  • Deep understanding of various aspects & tools of process engineering which are used to design production facilities - engineering calculations, P&ID, process flow diagrams, transformation flow sheets, hygienic design, and equipment design & technical specifications
  • Be well versed with root cause analysis tools and their implementation
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
  • Strong preference given to candidates having hands-on experience with vertical start-up
