The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers funded opportunities for qualified U.S. citizens to teach, research and carry out professional projects abroad. Through Fulbright awards, participants advance their professional and academic interests, promote mutual understanding, and collaborate with partners around the world. At a time when we face many global challenges, international engagement is more important than ever.
Awards are available to scholars at every point of their career, including postdoctoral candidates. Postdoctoral awards are open to those who have finished their PhD five to seven years of the fellowship start date, depending on the award. Scholars can apply while still completing their degree as long as they graduate prior to the start of the fellowship.
For academic year 2023-24, we are pleased to share open postdoctoral awards available in Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Israel, Mexico, Slovak Republic, Spain and Taiwan. Click here for a full list of open postdoctoral opportunities and details, including levels of funding, eligible disciplines, and more.
