Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is a multi-program laboratory applying state of the art science and practical, high-value, cost-effective solutions to complex technical problems to protect the nation. Located at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Savannah River Site (SRS), the laboratory develops and deploys innovative technologies to address some of the nation’s environmental, energy, and national security challenges.

SRNL has demonstrated leadership in the development advanced energy storage technologies related to hydrogen and other electrochemical methodologies and is seeking qualified experts to promote program growth and development. 

Successful candidates would be responsible for supporting the development of programs in the fields of electrolytes for electrochemical energy storage, photovoltaics, and/or hydrogen production.

Key Responsibilities:

Work synergistically with SRNL energy principal investigators to develop advanced energy concepts to support our nation’s energy security and develop technologies which drastically reduce our nation’s impact on climate change.
• Proposal and grant writing for Department of Energy funding offices and other funding agencies
• Publication of high impact peer-reviewed manuscripts
• Research and development activities related to energy storage and conversion technologies

Clearance Required to Perform Job? Yes, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain L or Q security clearance.
