Summary
The technician will work on a research laboratory to investigate the pathogenesis of a pediatric bone cancer. He/She will conduct supervised research on multiple state-of-the art areas in cancer research, such as molecular oncology, animal studies, and high-throughput assays. Other duties include maintaining a laboratory, reporting research findings, and presenting in research meetings.

Job Duties
- Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments and tasks.
- Conducts animal studies and maintain mouse colonies
- Collects, compiles, record, and analyzes research and patient data
- Conducts literature searches to answer specific questions
- Evaluates and applies new techniques used in research
- Presents research findings in meetings
- Orders research-related supplies and maintains laboratory inventory
- Assists in manuscript writing and grant applications
- Reports to the PI for daily activities
- Participates and presents in research meetings and seminars
- Receives and maintains required trainings to conduct research
- Collaborates with investigators within and outside our institution
- Meet program- or departmental-specific requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in xenograft mouse model, CRISPR cloning, and cell culture.
