The Department of Biochemistry at Wake Forest School of Medicine invites applications to fill a tenure track faculty position. The department is seeking Assistant or Associate Professor investigators with exciting research programs in biochemistry, and molecular and cellular biology, with preference for programs that complement our existing strengths in nucleic acid metabolism, structural biology, metabolism, redox biology, and genomics.

In addition to maintaining a robust, internationally recognized research program, successful candidates will be expected to contribute to departmental teaching and mentoring of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and to support an inclusive culture that welcomes diversity of experience and thought. Start-up package, laboratory space, salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.

The Department of Biochemistry has highly collaborative, research-intensive faculty that cross the disciplines of cancer biology, microbiology and immunology, structural biology, and genomics. Wake Forest School of Medicine offers a dynamic environment for innovative multidisciplinary research. Collaborative opportunities with other research entities include an NCI-funded Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), the Center for Precision Medicine, the Center for Vaccines at the Extremes of Aging, the Center for Redox Biology and Medicine, the Center for Diabetes Research, and the Wake Forest Primate facility.
