The Center for Cancer Immunotherapy within the Department of Cancer Center in Houston Methodist, Weill Cornell Medical College is seeking a self-motivated, skilled postdoctoral fellow or Instructor with a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D. in the fields of molecular biology, immunology, neuron degeneration biology, or bioinformatics. The candidate will study cancer immune therapies for the solid or blood cancer, GVHD/GVL, Alzheimer’s disease and autoimmune diseases.
The successful applicant will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team and perform cutting-edge basic and/or translational research. The candidate will work closely with immunotherapy in preclinical models and clinical translational research in the lab to study myeloid cells, microglia and dendritic cell mediated immune inflammation and suppression, T cell immune tolerance, ER stress and metabolism. The Cancer Center and Methodist Research institute offer state-of-the-art core facilities in a highly stimulating environment and T32 training grant for the fellowship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to involve research using cutting edge technologies and to contribute to the current revolution in our biological understanding of human diseases and immunotherapies.
