Site Name: Richmond Sherwood Posted Date: May 19 2022 As a Global Product Maintenance Development Scientist, you will be responsible for managing and contributing to the technical aspects of product lifecycle maintenance, business continuity and value engineering of GSK's portfolio of commercial OTC products. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Design and execute new formulations and manufacturing process protocols related to a broad array of consumer health products that includes, solids, liquids, semi-solids and/or proactively incorporates new technology and techniques into practice for these dosage forms Execute a wide range of experiments/technical studies/tasks ranging from lab to pilot manufacturing scale to gain better product/process understanding Identify and troubleshoot problems in the execution of experimental processes/technical studies/tasks by leveraging your scientific expertise and problem solving skills Knowledge of the rationale and hypotheses for experimental designs and/or has extensive theoretical understanding of a particular area of science Develop an understanding of regulatory requirements Drive a culture dedicated to quality and integrity in your work and the work of others Adhere to data integrity standards within department Assist in new research directions and novel strategies to achieve “project” and department goals Perform complex data management tasks with minimal supervision Interpret results and communicate to supervisor on designs and next logical step of experiments based on the data Keep supervisor informed of progress and activities Independently write specific technical sections of internal and external reports, and generate support documents for change controls and regulatory filings Contribute to scientific papers and other internal reports Present at internal Research and Development meetings Begin to develop networking skills through interactions with scientist outside of primary “project” roles Active member of international project / program teams and lead sub-team work Prepare detailed oral or written summaries of results with interpretation for projects/programs Anticipate problems and proactively seeks input from other scientists Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's Degree in Food, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Nutritional, Biological or related science 3 + years' experience with Bachelor's Degree 2 + years' experience with Master's Degree 1+ years' experience with PhD Experienced in formulation and/or product development Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Master's Degree or PhD Ability to solve complex problems Experience in leading others Experience analyzing data Excellent communication and presentation skills Experience in project management Why Consumer Healthcare?
