Our specialty gas division is second to none in our region. We offer a complete line of specialty gases filled to Purity Plus and ISO 17025 standards in a specialty gas laboratory and production facility. Our state-of-the-art specialty gas blend cells provide reduced lead-times and repeatability with custom and standard blend requests.

Job Summary

As the Lab Manager, you are responsible for compliance with ISO quality standards and maintaining safety when operating our automated gas filling system. You are also responsible for all aspects of analysis and lab operation and acting as a technical resource for internal and external customers.

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours) Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm

Primary Duties

  • Oversee the filling, analyzing, labeling of medical and specialty gases in accordance with Toll Company and Purity Plus standards
  • Maintain compliance with the ISO 17025 quality management system
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment including Sur-Fill iQ automated gas fill system, gas chromatographs, moisture analyzers, and other components of the filling, sampling and analysis system.
  • Work with sales to answer questions from customers regarding the laboratory and quality system
  • Participate in customer visits and quality audits
  • Expand capabilities of the lab
  • Attend and participate in specialty gas training events and conferences
  • Create and maintain lab records
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning lab equipment

Requirements

· 3 - 5 years laboratory experience AND

· 4 year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry or related degree

OR

· 5 years industry experience in a specialty gas lab

· Intermediate skill using MS Office programs, Access and Excel a must.

· Prior Experience with compressed gas, gas analysis and gas chromatography equipment highly desirable

· Knowledge of DOT, CGA, FDA, ISO and cGMP compliance

· Experience working with Food, Medical and EPA Protocol gases highly desirable

· Excellent mathematical skills

· Knowledge of the properties and hazards of compressed and cryogenic gases
