Job Details

The Program Coordinator will perform advanced level support and assist with day to day administrative project management for research projects, including planning, implementation and evaluation of activities. The Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for identifying and addressing the implementation research training needs of MD Anderson faculty, assist in planning training opportunities, and serve as a key link between MD Anderson and the UTHealth Institute for Implementation Science.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Project Management Assists with the day to day project management coordination to include personnel, facilities, supplies in support of project desired outcomes, budgets and timeliness. Attends research planning meetings to assist in the preparation of project activities, budget and manuscripts. Arranges meetings, assuring all logistics - room scheduling, audiovisual and conference call set up; records minutes as needed. Prepares annual progress reports for internal and external committees and ensures that all staff have received the proper training/attended the appropriate training courses. Work with other administrators to implement research and population-based programs.

Project Development/Implementation and Compliance Assist with development of program timelines and monitor progress towards meeting program goals and deliverables. Maintains confidential records of collected data, ensures accuracy and integrity of data. Data will provide documentation of implementation of all research and community engaged activities.

Other Duties Other duties as assigned including but not limited to collaborating with researchers/investigators in preparation of oral presentations for formal and/or informal meetings, providing periodic reports to the investigative team and other entities interested in the outcome of the research and continuous revisions to documents, bibliographic libraries, and grant-related documentation.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

Preferred: Master's degree in public health, social sciences or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three years project/program coordination experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.

Preferred: Experience managing grant funded projects that involved collaborations other institutions and external stakeholders, Evaluation experience (survey development, data analysis, etc.), Familiarity with Implementation Research is a plus.
