What You Will Achieve

You will be responsible for the design and execution of experiments using a variety of cell culture technologies and working with other colleagues to execute complex studies and to perform data analysis. You will work with a matrix team of scientists to enable the manufacture and delivery of life-changing therapy medicine to patients.

Your strong foundation in general scientific practice, its principles and concepts will help in meeting critical deadlines. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge. You will help Pfizer develop new and improved processes used in the research and development of our drugs. Your innovative mindset will help us develop economical, efficient and safe chemical manufacture of experimental and active drug materials.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Be a key member of the Cell Line Development team that will support the execution of both technology development and portfolio projects.

    • Perform standard molecular biology techniques (cloning, DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA gel electrophoresis).

    • Perform cell biology techniques towards the advancement of cell line generation.

    • Effectively document all lab activities in notebooks/ elsewhere as required and appropriate, in a timely fashion; authors technical reports as needed and contributes to internal/ external posters/ publications as appropriate

    • Pay attention to detail, strictly adhere to safety protocols, and use knowledge of basic laboratory procedures to advance projects under rapidly shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Prepare internally reviewed technical reports, and make oral presentations to scientists and management
  • Work in a collaborative environment of a multi-disciplinary project team.


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Practical experience in a range of molecular and analytical technique
  • Working knowledge of Bacterial transformation of genetic material across microbial expression systems
  • Self-motivated, organized, capable of working independently, and in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate results through written reports, publications and related documentation
  • Strong computer skills


Nice-to-Have
  • Operation of analytical instruments to assess microbial cell culture conditions and characterize recombinant protein production
  • Experience with molecular biology and subcloning techniques preferred
