Postdoctoral opportunities are available to study cell signaling that controls growth and metabolism, and the role in cancer biology and therapy. Through genetic and genomic approaches using yeast as a model organism, we have identified a large panel of genes involved in mTOR pathway. We are using integrated molecular cellular, animal, and data mining approaches to understand their functions in normal physiology and cancer. We also explore therapeutic opportunities to target these processes to improve cancer treatment. Rutgers University is conveniently located in the desirable New York City metropolitan area. It offers state-of-the-art facilities, and highly interactive and stimulating scientific environment.
