Summary

A Senior Research Assistant position is available at the Center for Advanced Innate Cell Therapy. Under the supervision of the PI, the Senior Research Assistant (SRA) works independently to support on-going, new and multiple research projects. The SRA will work as the lead to manager a team of postdoctoral fellows and technical staff to execute the PI's research and in support of multiple research projects. Performs complex, responsible research work of an advanced nature requiring high-level skills and expertise; uses own initiative or supervises others in planning and completing advanced medical or research experiments in accordance with general directions from the principal investigator.

Job Duties

  • Plans, directs and conducts research experiments.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data.
  • Develops research techniques and performs applications required for specific research projects.
  • Conducts literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
  • Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
  • Writes manuscript for publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Makes oral and poster presentations at scientific conferences.
  • Trains, schedules and coordinates the activities of less experienced research staff.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Must have experience in cell biology and flow cytometry.
  • Expertise in immunology is highly preferred.
