As an Associate Analytical Scientist, you will progress analytical aspects of projects, utilizing your technical expertise as part of a product development and wider matrix teams. The candidate may interact with other labs, internal and external to GSK, to support the training and transfer of analytical methods. Your responsibilities include some of the following… Perform assays for release or rejection of drug substance and drug products. With supervision, execute method verification experiments appropriate to clinical development phases. Work closely with outsourcing partners to deliver results. Oversee and independently performs a variety of complex sample and standard tasks (receipt, check-in, login, labeling, launching, inventory, transport, check- out, return, disposals, etc.) in support of the laboratory between departments and with outsourcing partners. Support activities related to equipment qualification. Document laboratory work in accordance with GxP expectations, company policy, and legal requirements. Conduct review of experiments, stability protocols, and other key documents Write specific technical sections of internal and external reports with supervision. Performs routine data management tasks including recording results effectively in a laboratory notebook or computer independently (e.g., tabulating and graphing results). Identify and troubleshoots any problems in the execution of experimental processes; interprets results and communicates them to his/her supervisor. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Experience in analytical separations methods such as HPLC, cIEF, and CGE. Experience working with teams and communicating to key stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: 1-3 years of hands-on experience and knowledge in method development of separations assays supporting biopharmaceuticals. Experience with protein biochemistry along with assay development/qualification/validation, pharmacopeia compliance and analytical life cycle management Understanding of the biopharm product development life cycle including analytical method qualification, validation and transfer. Experience in protein analytical & biochemical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, capillary electrophoresis, spectroscopy, and other bioanalytical technologies Why GSK?
