Post-doctoral scientist position- Genetics / Biology

We seek a post-doctoral research scientist to study new technologies for the mitigation and control of gene drives. These technologies will be developed and tested with both previously existing and new gene drives in a Drosophila model. The successful applicant will join other Drosophila geneticists and technicians in an NIH-funded multi-year project already under way.

This position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Kevin Myles at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. The Myles lab is a multi-disciplinary group with state-of-the-art facilities.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Genetics or related field with previous experience using a genetic model organism, preferably Drosophila.
