Site Name: Richmond Sherwood Posted Date: Apr 19 2022 This role provides operational support to project teams primarily within the Pilot Plant, but also in other areas such as Clinical Packaging Lab and Development Labs, as needed. Responsibilities include general material handling, equipment assembly, operation, cleaning and maintenance, and creation and/or execution of batch documentation and protocols. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Assemble, operate, disassemble, and clean processing and packaging equipment following appropriate SOP's and Work Instructions. Maintain all equipment in a state of operational readiness. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems as needed. Coordinate repairs to equipment as necessary to maintain operational readiness. Provide equipment training to other associates as required. Dispense raw materials and packaging components for experimental and human-use batches Execute batch records, maintaining strict adherence to cGMP's and site SOP's. Collect samples of raw materials, intermediates and finished products utilizing appropriate sampling tools and techniques. Perform in-process testing of batch samples utilizing various physical testing instruments. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, drum lifters, and pallet jacks. Identify and participate in technical/process improvement opportunities within the pilot plant. Provide technical expertise and assistance to project teams operating in the pilot plant. Maintain necessary documentation for compliance to FDA, ISO, DEP, DEA, and OSHA requirements. Initiate GMP documentation such as SOPs, WIs, Change Controls, and Deviations as needed. Coordinate equipment cleaning validation/verification activities including protocols, visual inspections, and equipment swabbing. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: High School Diploma Experience in assembling, operating, disassembling, and cleaning pharmaceutical processing equipment such as tablet presses and coaters, high shear granulators, fluid bed dryers, blenders, mills, liquid and semi-solid mixers Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Associates degree (or higher) or technical school degree Mechanical aptitude Understanding of GMP regulations as they apply to manufacturing and packaging drug products Knowledge of R&D process and associated commercial environment. Clear communicator in both oral and written form with both internal departments and external organizations. Demonstrates ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work effectively in teams, and multitask. Computer literate. Ability to lift 50 lbs and frequently carry 25 lbs Ability to stand, bend and walk for up to 7.5 hours daily, 5 days per week Why Consumer Healthcare?
