This role as a Scientist is expected to execute technical strategies in analytical chemistry, within the Global R&D Innovation and Development organization. This role is familiar with HPLC and GC and well-established detection technology. The role is recognized as having a good knowledge of Analytical chemistry. These responsibilities include some of the following: Being an engaged scientist who executes technical aspects of analytical development. Having knowledge of varied aspects or a specialized aspect of analytical science or other relevant scientific disciplines. Applying technical skills and functional knowledge to projects and assignments. Acting as a scientific resource within the analytical team. Being recognized as a colleague with growing scientific contributions. Serving as a scientific and technical colleague who interfaces with internal and external partners. Assisting in the development of approaches to solve moderately difficult problems. Producing effective presentations and possessing writing skills to tailor messages to a variety of audiences as appropriate (e.g. external, commercial, management, scientific). Successfully performing and directing method validation / transfer activities with supervision. Recognizing atypical data including chromatography and intermediate results and working with others to resolving the issues. Troubleshooting moderately difficult instrumentation issues. Why you? Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Chemistry with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience Or MS degree in Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Or Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry with 0 - 2 years of relevant experience Experience (depending on education) in analytical science in Rx, OTC or consumer products industry is desired. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: MS or Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in Separation Science Knowledge of certain aspects of separation sciences and the growing ability to critically evaluate data and develop strategies for problem solving Specialized knowledge will allow the successful candidate to assist in developing, validating, and transferring methods to support release and stability testing. This position has the ability for data analysis and rudimentary problem-solving capabilities. Why Consumer Healthcare?
