Summary

Coordinates day to day activities of the SPARK study (Simons Foundation Powering Autism Research for Knowledge; www.sparkforautism.org/texaschildrens) at the Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital site. Responsibilities including screening, enrolling, and conducting follow-up with research participants; monitoring data collection and data quality; evaluating effectiveness of various recruitment strategies; and performing all study related activities in accordance with IRB guidelines and ethical practices.

Job Duties

  • Monitors data collection and data quality.
  • Collects, ships, and maintains paperwork for biological specimens, according to procedures outlined in the study protocol.
  • Conducts study recruitment.
  • Presents updates on study progress, recruitment strategies, and other study-related efforts to providers, hospital administrators, and the study sponsor. May travel for recruitment events, the annual SPARK meeting, and other outreach opportunities.
  • Operates in discussions during weekly team meetings and network conference calls.
  • Maintains lab website.
  • Designs outreach materials, orders supplies, and places food orders for outreach events and educational meetings.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
