Description: We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral research fellows to join the lab of Dr. Giuseppina Tesco in the Department of Neuroscience at Tufts University to study the molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease. Our laboratory has several exciting projects to study Alzheimer’s disease genetic variants using novel mouse models and a novel bioengineered model of iPSC-derived neuronal tissue.

Requirements: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and be able to perform one or more of these experimental approaches:

iPSC cultures and their differentiation in neurons, microglia and astrocytes, MEA recordings, functional analysis of microglia and astrocytes, genome-editing, confocal microscopy, live imaging to study axonal trafficking in human and murine neuron cultures, stereotactic surgery in mice, single cell RNA seq.

Applicants must also be fluent in spoken and written English.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking and the ability to independently generate precise, reliable data and interpret them. Candidate should have a record of research that can be applied to the fields of interest, with a strong publication record.
