An exciting postdoctoral training opportunity to study the impact of first-in-human combination immunotherapy in patients with cancer at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at the Providence Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon. The Fox Lab is collaborating with pharma and biotech to translate novel preclinical discoveries into patients with advanced cancer. The goal of these studies is to evaluate how administration of complex cancer vaccines, containing 100s of antigens, TLR agonists and adjuvants, combined with T cell agonists and checkpoint inhibition impacts objective clinical response rates as well as the expansion and survival of effector and memory T and B cells (NCT04470024).

Candidates with an MD or a PhD in Immunology, Molecular or Cell Biology, or a related field, an interest in translational cancer immunotherapy and experience in working with T cells, immunological assays, multiparameter flow cytometry, and cell culture should apply.  Experience in molecular biology, viral transduction, transfection, DNA cloning/sequencing, qPCR, and bioinformatics are a plus.
