An exciting postdoctoral training opportunity to apply cutting-edge technology to evaluate the cancer – immune cell interface. Multiplex Immunofluoresence of tumor biopsies appears to be the best predictive biomarker of a patient’s response to checkpoint blockade. Dr. Bernard Fox and Dr. Shawn Jensen are working with colleagues to validate this technology and apply its use in evaluating response to treatment and potentially for tailoring combination immunotherapy of cancer. Candidates with an MD or a PhD in Pathology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field, with experience in histology and an interest in improving outcomes for patients with cancer should apply.  Experience in automated staining, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, QuPath and R studio are a plus.
