The Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center invites applications for faculty members to join our Gene Therapy Program at the Assistant Professor level. The appointee will be a faculty member of the Department of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School. Expertise would be preferred in modeling and analyzing the clonal dynamics of gene marked cells after hematopoietic gene therapies, including analysis of vector integration sites. A complementary research focus would include study of the clonal dynamics of hematopoietic cells in various contexts, such as during development and aging, at steady state, after transplantation, and with stressors and disease states. A successful applicant would be expected to be familiar with the analysis of diverse genomics and single cell datasets and use of mathematical modeling and statistical analysis. This person will be expected and encouraged to contribute to the Institute’s clinical research mission by participating in clinical studies of gene therapy trials, research mission by exploring the contributors to gene therapy safety and efficacy, and educational mission by teaching and mentoring fellows and students in both informal and formal settings.

Candidates must have a PhD degree in biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics or related field, and 5 years experience as post-doc or research scientist, preferably in bioinformatics related to gene therapy related projects.
