Applications are sought for a full-time Postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary research team led by Dr. Chongyuan Luo in the Department of Human Genetics at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. As part of the Impact of Genomic Variation on Function (IGVF) Consortium (https://www.genome.gov/Funded-Programs-Projects/Impact-of-Genomic-Variation-on-Function-Consortium), we will investigate the function of genetic variants in diverse human ancestral backgrounds using single-cell multi-omic profiling, population genetics approaches and high-throughput CRISPR interference perturbation. For this position, we are specifically looking for candidates with interests in developing methods for genome-wide perturbation approaches.
This position requires a Ph.D. in related field and experience in cell culture and mammalian gene expression approaches. We expect strong candidates to have demonstrated research skills in the form of preprints or peer reviewed publications.
