The Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) seeks exceptionally qualified applicants for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacology position at its Northwest Campus (Lebanon, OR). The successful candidate is expected to develop a research program in their specific area of specialty, teach Pharmacology in the medical school curriculum, mentor medical students in research activities, and engage in service to the College and University. Competitive applicants should have a strong history of teaching in a medical school and research publications as well as demonstrate the potential to obtain extramural funding.
The COMP Northwest campus works jointly with the main campus in Pomona, California, to train medical students for the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree. The 2-year, pre-clinical curriculum follows a dual site model in which faculty from Oregon and California jointly teach students who reside at both locations.
