Professor in Biological and Experimental Psychology (Teaching & Research)

We are looking for an ambitious, inspirational leader in Biological and Experimental Psychology to join our growing research Department.  The successful candidate should be at the cutting edge of their field and be able to complement and expand the department’s multidisciplinary research activity, and also to join the cross faculty leadership in the research focus area.

 

Applicants should have a significant track-record of high-quality research in a field of experimental psychology at a national and international level, including publications in internationally renowned journals. The successful individual will have a strong funding portfolio and bring experience in applying for and securing external research funding, lead/coach proposal efforts from academics across the school, inspire excellent performance and advance our research excellence. A commitment to the development of high-quality student education is also essential to develop and support our taught programmes across the undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

 

The post holder will also be expected to take on leadership positions within the department and across the faculty to help guide the development of the department.

 

The post is based in the School of Biological & Behavioural Sciences (SBBS) and is one of five Schools in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. SBBS is one of the largest Schools at Queen Mary University of London, with approximately 1800 students and c80 academic staff members.

The post is based at the Mile End campus in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment with an expected start date of September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary will be at Professorial Off-Scale level and a generous academic support package will also be available.
